A program on international scams that hurt exporters and importers

June 27, 2017 – On Wednesday, 12 July, the International Trade Association of greater Chicago (ITAGC) will present a lunch program on global scams on how they continue to impact small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Louise Kern

Presented by Louise Kern, Managing Director of Global Business Information Services (GloBIS), the program is targeted to SMEs who continue to fall for old scams even as scammers themselves are rapidly evolving more sophisticated ways of deception. Ms. Kern’s presentation will inform SMEs by highlighting trends in business scams worldwide, providing tools to conduct screening and reviewing questionable emails.

GloBIS is a strategic partner of the US Commercial Service and on Ex-Im Bank’s list of recommended providers of credit reports worldwide.

For information and registration, contact the ITAGC by 10 July at rsvp@itagc.org, or telephone 773.725.1106.
