Chicago program – Global Trade Outlook for 2018

December 12, 2017 – The Greater Chicago International Trade Association (ITAGC) will present a 2018 Global Trade Outlook luncheon program on January 17th. The program features Derek Gianino, Director of International Policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC.

Derek Gianino

Nearly one year into the Trump Administration, there remains tremendous uncertainty about the future of U.S. trade
policy around the world. From NAFTA to the U.S.’s many other multi-lateral and bi-lateral trade relationships, the
future of U.S. trade policy and leadership is in doubt. Now, on the eve of the Sixth Round of NAFTA Negotiations
(January 23-28 in Montreal), seems to be an appropriate time to take a deep breath and look ahead at the future of
global trade for 2018.

In his role, Mr. Gianino oversees the Chamber’s recently re-launched “Faces of Trade” initiative, profiling
small and medium sized exporters (SMEs) in addition to being responsible for promoting the Chamber’s international trade agenda.

The program takes place at the CARLUCCI ROSEMONT, 6111 North River Road, Rosemont, IL, and co-hosted by the Illinois DEC and the Illinois Manufacturers Association. Registration – 11:45am : Luncheon Program – 12pm. For reservations contact the ITA/GC by 4:00 p.m., Monday, January 15. Tel: 773/725-1106 rsvp@itagc.org
