Modi visit to US signals possible new trade opportunities

June 28, 2017 – India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the US on Monday as part of a three-nation tour. Various issues were discussed including counter-terrorism and strengthening ties between the US and India. The meeting did not create a firm development plan for trade between our nations but requests were made to remove trade barriers and reduce trade deficits.

IBNewsmag Publisher Fred Baehner, who was in Washington DC Monday said, ”Heartland small manufacturers have long been frustrated by trade barriers and graft in India. Maybe now we will see some real trade developments.”
