April 18, 2022 – While the national export growth was 23 percent in 2021, North Dakota exports surged 42 percent driven by its186 percent increase in food exports over 2020 - excluding oil. Soybeans led the meteoric growth with a 290 percent growth from $33 million in 2020 to $129 million in 2021. Wheat and potatoes also contributed significantly to the state’s export growth.
